We apologize for the delay in updates on the blog and website. The "Administrative Secretary" of Sting has accepted a long term sub position as a Special Education Aide and hasn't been able to fiddle on the website and blog like she used to as a stay-at-home mom. Thank you for your patient as we get used to working after hours on Sting! We'll get the hang of this ;)

Meet the Team Bonfire!

All Sting teams are invited to Coach Smith's house
on Saturday, October 16th at 6:00 for a bonfire and meet the team night.

S’mores, cider, corn hole, ladder golf and cards will be provided.
Please bring your own chairs, snacks and beverages. If you have any games you’d like to bring, please feel free to bring them.

There will be a quick introduction of all the teams, the coaching staff and information regarding the 2011 Sting season; including our upcoming fundraisers. After the baseball talk, the kids can run through the corn field and the adults can enjoy the bonfire, games and beverages!

BANQUET NEWS!

The banquet will be held Sunday, August 29th at 12:00 at Pumpkin Patch.Kids bring your ball gloves and parents, bring your A-game. We'll be having a parents vs. kids wiffle ball tourny as well as the typical banquet hoopla.

Coach Fritz will be there for his special farewell tribute.

Private Tryouts for 2011 Season

STING TRAVEL BASEBALL TRYOUTS

Sting will be holding tryouts for the 2011 season on Thursday, August 12th and Friday, August 13th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. at Burgtorf Elementary (aka Pumpkin Patch - next to Kearsley High School) located at 4160 Underhill Drive • Flint, MI 48506.

Age divisions this year will be 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U & 13U.
Birthday cut off is May 1, 2011.

Amazing weekend! Yacca and all!
We had such a great time! Between the camping, jello shots, chili, pudding shots, YUCCA, swimming, fishing, and oh yeah THE BASEBALL! The Sting families are so much fun. I am sad to see the season coming to an end!

Thoughts and a BIG heartfelt Thanks

Awesome job this weekend to all 3 of the Sting teams. Each team moved forward and showed the other teams there what Sting baseball is all about. All the teams are on the verge of breaking loose and I look forward to seeing it at the next tournament. Let's work on not only playing baseball but THINKING baseball.

I would like to personally thank the Sting family for their support this weekend with the passing of my Mother (Mitchell's Grandmother). Your words and actions meant a lot to the family and are truly appreciated. From the boys dedicating hits and runs, to the team starting games by breaking the pre-game huddle with "hits for grandma" meant the world. A special thanks to the Tildens and the Walters for their help with getting Mitchell around for most of the weekend. Your friendships are truly a blessing.

Hartland Tournament

The first tournament is under our belts and what can be said other then - "WOW!" Sting had games at 8:30, 10:30, 12:30 & 6:30 on Saturday and 11:00 on Sunday. It was a battle of early morning sleepiness, first game jitters, meshing as a team, digging down deep to find the confidence within and rallying as the Sting Family we are. By the end of Sunday's games, WE BECAME STING BASEBALL!

No, the boys didn't win. But we did walk away with the knowledge of what travel ball means and how much fun it is as a family of black and vegas gold! Look out Richfield Tourny - STING IS BACK!!!

Sting Ladies Night Out Makeover!

Hey all you Sting moms, it's time to let your hair down and have some fun with the gals. Our very own Michelle B.(her son's on the 12's team) is a Mary Kay Consultant and is offering a skin care class FUNDRAISER for Sting!

Michelle is offering 25% of sales (including outside orders) and $10 for each party booking back to Sting.

Season Starts Tomorrow!

Sting's 2010 season officially kicks off tomorrow! Are you ready? Shh, don't tell Brad I said this, but he's gitty as a school girl going on her first date. He's picking up more tennis & wiffle balls after work this morning. To say he's excited for tomorrows practice would be an understatement. As the coach requested, here's a reminder about Sting's first practice...

Feel The Sting!

Forget "Are you ready for some football?" It's time to "FEEL THE STING!" The boys are back as Sting Travel Baseball starts it's 4th season on Feb. 28th. That's only 9 days away, WOW.
